first project of the year, i was given the word TATTOO

personal project.. my roughs for some creepy plant-based graphic novelling
currently playing with the idea of designing my own cross-stitches. watch this space!
i like to do this thing if my head feels a bit empty where i get out some tunes and my felties + try to zone out by writing lots of words/phrases that sound nice against each other, its very therapeutic. then if certain words stick well i’ll do something with them. my favourite from this sesh is ‘chestpenny’.
the tribal indian girl done in pencil crayons is copied from a photograph that has always really fascinated me. i remember looking at this picture when i was so young and thinking how insanely beautiful the girl was and marveling at all of her heavy silver jewelery and pretty fabrics she is wearing. now she is sketchbooked forever!
